Ope!  geez, why hot honey?

Michelle Harris-Pulling the owner of The Silver Lining Creamery, who creates her own ice cream, was always looking for new ideas and ways we can combine and create new flavors.

One day while looking for ice cream inspirations, she stumbled upon hot honey and was intrigued!  This would make a great sauce for her ice cream.

​​

She went on to create a recipe and Ope! she was hooked! She soon realized this could be a business. After perfecting the recipe for You Betcha! our mild medium hot honey, we realized we needed a hotter companion honey and Uffda! was created.

One day Michelle and I crossed paths.  She introduced me to Hot Honey, which I had not heard of, and I was instantly hooked!  With the support of my family I purchased the company from Michelle to carry on these great flavors to share with others.

Loving the flavor of our Midwest honey, I focus on the great quality of our local honey. The only honey used is sourced from local beekeepers in North Dakota. We wanted to share this pride and love in our brand.

You Betcha! and Uffda! are created in small batches. Weighing and measuring the peppers and honey to the exact recipe. Watching the simmering and carefully stirring each batch during the process. Applying the labels and filling each bottle by hand is a true small batch experience.

Michelle and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Shine On Honey Company. Because in life, we all need a little sweet heat.
